The spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus continues to dominate the news and is causing impact around the world. We are monitoring developments closely and connecting with you directly to communicate the precautionary measures we are taking at our site here at Cornish Firewood and throughout our business to protect the health and safety of both you our customers and our employees.
Following the latest Public Health guidelines from local governments and the World Health Organisation, we have put in place enhanced health and hygiene measures across our entire business to ensure you have a safe and enjoyable visit or delivery whilst we operate in a safe and responsible manner;
- We have enhanced the frequency and scope of our onsite cleanliness measures to include sanitisation of high touch points and increased availability of soap and/or hand sanitizer in community spaces in our buildings including our delivery vans.
- All of our employees are following local health authority advice to stay home if they’re feeling unwell. Many are home working.
We remain in close contact with our team and local government and the World Health Organisation, so we can prepare for all eventualities as this challenging situation continues to evolve.
We are very much open for business and are committed to providing you with first service online and through our warehouse and delivery service.
At present we are still open for collections with precautions and limitations so card payment only. You must pay over the phone before you collect and the stock will be prepared for you in advance. This will avoid having to enter our office space and warehouse. You may have to load yourself at times as we have limited staff due to home working. For bulky collections requiring forklift a time slot will have to be arranged for this to take place. Your understanding at this time is appreciated.
Whilst you may be well we must limit risk and exposure to our staff and their families.
So shop online or by phone as normal and our drivers will keep you topped up with wood fuel or charcoal for cooking as normal. Delays may occur to allow for extra health and safety measures so please bear with us.
Also give us as much information as possible at time of order so we may limit contact at your home and unload your wood for you as normal. If you have a delivery booked that you wish to change or update where to unload it please email sales@cornishfirewood.co.uk or call 01209 899301.
