- Adopt the highest level of environmental standards in all areas of operation, meeting and exceeding all relevant legislative requirements and environmental codes of practice
- Assess our organisational activities and identify areas where we can minimise impacts
- Minimise raw material usage by fuelling our kiln using wood waste from processing activities
- Purchase sustainable products and services wherever possible
- Publicise our environmental position
- Train employees in good environmental practice and encourage employee involvement in environmental action
- Reduce risks from environmental, health and safety hazards for employees and others in the vicinity of our operations
- Adopt an efficient, low carbon transport strategy

Cornish Firewood have developed a series of action plans to supplement each of our environmental policy objectives.
Cornish Firewood will periodically review performance to ensure we are delivering on our duty of care towards future generations. These results will be published in an appropriate manner.
We are committed to producing sustainable renewable wood fuels for current and future generations and do so by employing low Carbon impact processes and transport strategies. We offset our Carbon footprint largely due to our woodland management scheme; where we promote the growth of older established trees and plant new trees for those felled and more; as well as using our own wood waste and that of other sawmills and wood processors to make pellets and power our boilers and kilns.
