Dear ,
You may or may not be aware that as of 1st May 2021 new Air Quality (Domestic Solid Fuels Standards) (England) Regulations 2020 came into law, meaning wood fuel sold in volumes under 2m3 now need to be certified as Ready to Burn. The new regulations aim to prevent harmful pollution from domestic burning of all solid fuels by ensuring wood sold in volumes of under 2m3 is certified as having a moisture content of 20% or less.
Our logs here at Cornish Firewood are certified Ready to Burn and as our customers may already be aware, our logs have had a moisture content of below 20% long before the Ready to Burn certification came into law, whilst many competitors' logs did not. We are delighted the industry has risen to the challenge of ensuring wood fuel is not harmful for our environment.
Our customers can be confident that our wood fuel is ready for immediate use by looking for the Ready to Burn logo along with our company name and unique Ready to Burn certification number, which must be present to prove wood fuel meets the expected standards of the scheme.
If you have any questions regarding Ready to Burn please do contact us at sales@cornishfirewood.co.uk or find out more at www.readytoburn.org.
As ever we are thankful for your custom and we look forward to continuing our efforts to ensure a bright future for sustainable firewood.
- The team at Cornish Firewood
